I just noticed today -- I'm showing!
The doctor said on Monday that she could feel my uterus poking out above my hip bones. I didn't think much of it, and didn't think I was really showing. Sure, my pants are tighter, but a thickening of the waist is not uncommon early on. It's not the same as "showing."
But I caught a glimpse of myself in a glass wall at the office, and WOW. I am going to really need to start sucking it in.
In other news, as I mentioned, I had a doctor's appointment on Monday. She said everything looks good, I am really healthy, and the pregnancy seems really healthy. I got bloodwork done for genetic abnomalities screening and I'll go back soon for spina bifida testing.
And! We have another sonogram scheduled for 12 weeks in!
They also scheduled our 20 week gender identification sonogram, but I think we might pay for our own before then. 20 weeks is a LONG time to wait.
Other updates:
Nausea is better -- not totally gone, but it doesn't rule my life anymore
Fatigue is still going strong -- I'm in bed around 10 p.m. most nights
Emotions are out of control -- I cry at least once a day
My husband is the best (as ever!)
That's it. In the meanwhile, I'm growing and growing and growing!
So glad you'll feeling better and happy the doctor says all is going well. How many weeks along can they check the sex by sono? Anxious to start your baby quilt :)
